USA. Ferrovial Airportstoday announced the opening of its US headquarters in Austin, Texas.

The private airport investor and operators said that the move will allow it to focus its activity in the North American airport sector and establish a strong local presence.

Ferrovial Airports entered the aviation industry in 1998 and has over 20 years’ experience in  investing, developing and operating 34 airports around the world.

It is the largest shareholder of Heathrow Airport, Europe’s busiest hub, and has a 50% ownership of Glasgow, Aberdeen and Southampton airports in the UK.

In the US, Ferrovial Airports leads Great Hall Partners, a partnership driving the remodelling and commercial operation of Denver International Airport’s (DEN) Jeppesen Terminal Great Hall. The project embraces a 34-year contract to manage and maintain commercial operation of the Great Hall upon completion of the renovation.

The Great Hall project broke ground in July 2018 and is slated for completion in late 2021.
