USA. HMSHost has launched its annual month-long campaign based around spreading messages or acts of kindness.

The ‘Share Your Love: Notes of Kindness’ campaign began at the start of February and is running at North American airports and online.

Travellers who purchase the new Chandon Rosé at participating HMSHost airport restaurants and bars will also receive a special treat from their server, which the restaurateur is calling a ‘Note of Kindness’.

Each Note of Kindness includes a message that aims to provide travellers with an “unexpected, feel good moment” in their journey. These notes range from simple, positive messages to words of encouragement such as: ‘Psst – You Got This’ or ‘You’re Amazing, Have a Great Trip!’.

Some 500 ‘Golden Notes’ have been hidden within the Notes of Kindness. Those who find them will receive a US$10 HMSHost gift card in addition to a kind message.

“We’re kicking 2020 off with positive vibes, encouraging a culture of kindness throughout the airport community,” said HMSHost Vice President of Marketing and Communications Atousa Ghoreichi. “HMSHost’s ‘Share Your Love’ campaign creates unique experiences that build meaningful connections and empower one another to spread kindness in our restaurants during your travels, and beyond.”

HMSHost is also hosting Notes of Kindness events at selected North American airports. At them, travellers can receive a random Note of Kindness from a large, mailbox-themed display. Travellers can then write their own positive message to leave and drop in the mailbox for another passenger to pick-up. Participating travellers also receive a complimentary chocolate bar and a -15% discount at participating HMSHost restaurants.

HMSHost is encouraging social media users to share messages of kindness online using the hashtag #HMSHostLove. Those who do will be in with a chance of winning a US$100 gift card.
