Fazer reveals travel retail exclusives for 2022 as 100th anniversary celebrations near

Finnish confectionery and food company Fazer is set to celebrate its 100th anniversary next year through in-store and online activations and new products, many of which are exclusive to travel retail.

Fazer refreshed its Karl Fazer chocolate brand and revealed a new logo earlier this year. The new look will feature on travel retail-exclusive products in 2022.

A limited-edition Karl Fazer Summer Selection, with flavours including Blueberry Truffle, Raspberry Yoghurt and Mango Yoghurt, will be exclusive to the channel in the Nordic region during the Summer months. Other regional lines include a 320g box with destination sleeve highlighting Finland and the Northern Lights, and a Taste of Finland tablet celebrating the brand’s 100th anniversary.

Another exclusive Karl Fazer presentation of four 295g packs – with messages including Time to Celebrate, You’re So Special and Taste the Magic – will be available worldwide in late 2022.

Fazer’s Geisha – the brand with a ‘focus on the good’ tagline – is set to launch a 295g Caramel & Sea Salt Box early next year. The pack can be customised and localised.

Geisha Hearts include tagged card messages such as ‘thank you’, ‘with love’ and ‘hugs’ to target seasonal and Valentine’s Day gifting.

A new Banana Toffee-flavoured 250g tablet extends Fazer’s Dumle line from Q1 2022. According to Fazer, its products claim a hefty 45% share of the tablet market in Finland.

In-store and online activations and competitions are part of Fazer’s plans to mark its anniversary, which will also see the introduction of a 420g Golden box of milk chocolates.
