Finnish confectionery and food company Fazer has partnered with Gebr Heinemann to prelaunch its Dumle seasonal Smooth Strawberry flavour as a travel retail limited edition (350g) this month. It is supported by promotional placements at Oslo, Stavanger and Copenhagen airports.
Dumle is one of the top three Fazer travel exclusive brands and is especially popular in Scandinavia, said the company.
Fazer Brand Manager Malin Lindqvist said: “Dumle offers a delightful new flavour in a familiar format. Consumers found the smooth strawberry flavour interesting and perfect for Dumle, and it gained the best score out of all tested variants.”
The Dumle target group in travel retail is young, active teenagers and parents seeking a gift. “Dumle’s previous flavour versions have been very successful and increased domestic sales. Now for the first time available in travel retail, we have high expectations for this novelty”, added Lindqvist. “We are looking forward to this prelaunch at Heinemann’s shops.”
The smooth strawberry variant will be launched in other markets and with other retailers later in Spring.
