FAQ makes debut at new GDF Plaza VIP Lounge

CHINA. Swiss anti-aging brand FAQ, sister brand of Foreo, has launched in Hainan Development Holdings-owned Global Premium Duty Free (GDF) Plaza’s newly-opened VIP Lounge.

GDF Plaza offers multiple loyalty membership tiers and benefits to VIP customers including Silver, Gold and Platinum memberships. Platinum membership is granted to customers who spend RMB50,000 (US$7,500) and above.

The VIP Lounge offers a bespoke shopping experience for members.

At the lounge, GDF Plaza Platinum members can enjoy anti-aging spa treatments using the FAQ 101 and FAQ 102 devices. According to the brand owner, FAQ’s launch at the VIP Lounge was designed to enhance FAQ’s brand awareness in the luxury beauty space and recruit new customers in the key travel retail hotspot of Hainan.

The FAQ 100 range offers several innovative facial rejuvenation technologies, including EMS-Pro, Power-RF, LED-Pulse and T-Sonic pulsations. The devices are completed with an Anti-Shock System that ensures the treatments are safe for home use.

As reported, GDF Plaza posted a +120% year-on-year rise in sales for the second quarter of 2022. The number of shoppers rose by nearly +10% over the same period in 2021 while the number of duty free items purchased grew by +155% year-on-year.

GDF Plaza will make its debut as an exhibitor this year supported by many well-known global brands at the second China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE). Swedish wellbeing and beauty tech brand Foreo and sister brand FAQ will make its debut on the GDF Plaza stand.
