Expanded Boots and Dixons Travel stores to open at Aberdeen International Airport

UK. Expanded Boots and Dixons Travel stores are to open in a new retail and catering area at Aberdeen International Airport in April.

A terminal transformation project is currently underway at the airport and nearing completion, with more stores set to open in the autumn.

An upgraded departure lounge area will feature the new Boots and Dixons Travel stores, which are relocating from their current units to the new commercial area. It is housed in the former World Duty Free and Security facility.

The airport said the stores would both be “considerably larger” than the previous units, and will feature new brands. Dixons Travel is scheduled to open on Monday 8 April, with Boots following on Wednesday 10 April.

The transformation project will be completed in autumn with a complete refurbishment and expansion of The Globe bar and restaurant and the addition of a new airside Joes Café. A third retail store will also open in the area adjacent to The Distilling House pub and dining house.

“We’re gearing up for the new stores opening up next month and can’t wait for our passengers to see the fantastic Boots and Dixons Travel shops,” said Aberdeen International Airport Managing Director Steve Szalay.

“But the developments don’t end here. In the autumn, we’ll be ready to showcase our completed terminal. Our catering offering will be significantly improved, with more choice for our passengers than ever before.

“It’s truly an exciting time for Aberdeen International Airport and we look forward to welcoming all to the fabulous new space.”
