Exhibitor partners hail opportunity to connect at Summit of the Americas – A Virtual Experience in April

AMERICAS. Exhibitor partners have hailed the opportunity to showcase their products and services at the Summit of the Americas – A Virtual Experience, which takes place on 5-9 April.

Among the latest names to join the exhibitor lineup are leading haircare brand Oribe, shisha brand Mazaya, wine company Arterra, Flor de Caña rum, Spanish nougat brand El Almendro, AGPCH mezcal and digital and ecommerce specialist Servy. More will be named shortly.

As reported, the all-digital Summit of the Americas is being organised by the International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) and Asociación Sudamericana de Tiendas Libres (ASUTIL) in partnership with The Moodie Davitt Report (which organised the successful Virtual Travel Retail Expo from 12-16 October).

The Summit of the Americas represents an accessibly priced showcase opportunity for exhibitors in difficult times for the sector

Servy Chief Experience Officer Jeff Livney said: “We are very much looking forward to connecting with the industry at Summit of the Americas. At a time when contactless technology is needed to ensure travellers feel safe to travel once again, we are eager to learn and share about ways our partners and peers have not only adapted to but leveraged this paradigm shift in the guest experience. The virtual summit gives us the chance to highlight our solutions, including Grab, the airport e-commerce platform which reduces high—touch aspects of service for many concessionaires.”

Flor de Caña Global Travel Retail Manager Rodrigo Bazan said: “Not only does this event serve as a platform for our global brand but our team truly values the sessions, speakers and data sponsored by IAADFS and ASUTIL….we look forward to partnering and doing our part.”

Arterra Wines Canada said it “is proud to be exhibiting at this year’s Summit as we are excited to showcase our iconic Canadian wine brands including Inniskillin and Jackson-Triggs to the international and travel retail markets in this dynamic region. We look forward to cultivating new partnerships with the opportunity in collaboratively growing our brands and traveller experiences together.”

Another partner, Ferrero Travel Market, said in a statement: “Ferrero is glad to participate the 2021 Virtual Summit of the Americas as a Gold Partner. Ferrero has always been, is now and will remain committed to the travel retail industry. For Ferrero, global travel retail is the showcase to the world. It is a shop window for our brands, a platform to engage with international travelers and to highlight our top-quality products with unrivalled brand experiences. We are committed to working closely with our partners in the ‘new normal’ as together we rebuild the business.”

Representing Mazaya, Global Duty Free Manager Rawan Elayyan said: “As a top player in the shisha molasses category, Mazaya has been steadily growing its presence at the Americas. IAADFS provides a great platform to interact with retailers and operators in that part of the world and explore untapped opportunities to bring premium shisha molasses to a region with high potential. With the shisha smoking trend on the rise, we are glad to have the chance to continue networking and exploring the Americas virtually from the comfort of our offices in Dubai.”

Other media titles will also be supporting the event. Official Preferred Media Partners will be able to showcase their publications in the Summit’s Press Centre (please contact IAADFS or ASUTIL for details) to ensure the widest possible visibility for the event and for exhibitors.
