Excess Baggage Company scores breakthrough contract at Budapest Airport

HUNGARY. Excess Baggage Company has secured a breakthrough contract to provide baggage services at Budapest Airport. It is the company’s first concession in Central Europe.

Two units, in Terminals 2A and 2B, will offer services which include baggage wrapping and liability cover for baggage in transit.

Budapest Airport Chief Commercial Officer Kam Jandu said: “Budapest Airport is delighted to announce that Excess Baggage Company has successfully won the Baggage Wrapping and associated services tender from April 2018.

“The appetite, innovation, capability and overall commercial proposition ranked their bid as the best and we are pleased to be a part of their international expansion aspirations. Passengers will get to experience one of the broadest ranges of travel services from this new service provider and we have no doubt that their operations will be a huge success.”

It’s a wrap: Excess Baggage Company will provide services in Budapest Airport Terminals 2A and 2B

Excess Baggage Company CEO David Elliott commented: “We are delighted to have a presence at Budapest Airport. As our first development in Central Europe in our 2018 plan for expansion, working with the busiest airport in Hungary, Budapest Airport is a step in the right direction. We are looking forward to providing the 13.1 million customers travelling through Budapest with baggage and travel solutions.”
