Ever Rich Duty Free hosts second jewellery design contest

TAIPEI. Ever Rich Duty Free Shop has launched the second Ever Rich Jewelry Design Contest, which is open for submissions from now until 31 December. A shortlist will be announced on 10 January, with the winning designer claiming the top prize of NT$100,000 (US$3,300). They will also have the opportunity to be exhibited at the island’s international airports and to be listed by Ever Rich Duty Free.

It is the second such contest after the first took place in 2017, attracting 505 submissions from local artists as well as international entries from Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand and France. The contest is open to all, including Ever Rich staff.

The design contest is now open to all, with a top prize of NT100,000 and the opportunity for the winner to sell their jewellery through Ever Rich Duty Free Shop

Ever Rich said its mission was to inspire jewellery design talent and to let the world see the beauty of the island.

It noted: “Ever Rich Jewelry has always combined rich natural flavours and cultural heritage, selecting high-quality natural gemstones and precious metals, and interpreted classic images with contemporary aesthetics into the brand.”

This year’s theme is ‘The Beauty of Taiwan’s Forests’, which draws on the island’s natural beauty and mountainous terrain. There are 286 mountain summits over 3,000m, with Yushan (Mount Jade) the highest in East Asia.

The company hosted a forum last week titled ‘A Dialogue with the Mountains’ to promote the contest. It took place at the company’s Neihu Duty Free Plaza in Taipei.

The Ever Rich Jewelry Forum brought together artists and designers from many fields. We also partnered with local farmers to develop different specialities and souvenirs with local flavour and international competitiveness, because we hope to make this island’s creativity and culture its best tourism resources.
