FRANCE. Ever Rich DFS Chairman Simon Chiang was last night (3 October) honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual Frontier Awards in Cannes.
Chiang received a standing ovation from the 700-plus guests for his many corporate and CSR achievements and his positive impact on the travel retail industry over the past 40 years.
The event attracted more than 700 guests.
Speaking after the award, Chiang expressed his gratitude to the Ever Rich team, and acknowledged the support of his family. He said the award represented worldwide recognition for Ever Rich’s performance.
Chiang noted that he had seen many significant changes during his 40 years in the industry, such as in consumer behaviour, the impact of SARS, and financial, political and technological events.
Throughout it all, he said he had insisted on offering the best service and professional product knowledge to ensure consumers have a good shopping experience.
Chiang’s central belief is putting people first, and he explained he had made integrity, professionalism, innovation, and community work core values of Ever Rich. As well as encouraging the company’s 7,000 employees to take part in community works, he has donated to a variety of causes including several disaster relief projects.
