“This shopping campaign is Eraman’s way of supporting Malaysia Airports’ ‘Total Airport Experience’ initiative,” said Malaysia Airports (Niaga) General Manager Zulhikam Ahmad. “Airport shopping is an integral part of the journey for travellers – contributing to a positive airport experience.

“We will continue to foster close partnership with our brand principals as part of our promotional efforts to ensure that we carry the latest products and brands for passengers passing through our airports.”

Ahmad said that La Mer, Tom Ford, Jo Malone and MAC Cosmetics would be added to Eraman’s store at Kota Kinabalu International Airport by the third quarter of this year.

“We will also be increasing our perfumes & cosmetics kiosks with Gucci, MAC and Jo Malone which will be available at the Eraman Duty Free Emporium located at the Contact Pier KLIA soon,” he added.

“On top of that, campaigns such as these are key sales drivers for the organisation. I am happy to say that this contest has successfully contributed positive growth to Eraman’s revenue.”

Happy shoppers: Eraman said the contest improved its revenue and enhanced the customer journey.

Diageo was the campaign’s Platinum Sponsor, and offered exclusive discounts of up to -20% off its brands.

Diageo Global Travel Commercial Director, Asia Pacific Paulo Guludjian commented: “At Diageo, we are committed to delighting shoppers and keeping the retail offers fresh and unique. As the Platinum Sponsor, we executed the Johnnie Walker #Whisky 5 campaign, with the objective of promoting our whisky category and encouraging shoppers to explore our wide Scotch and malts portfolio, led by Johnnie Walker and Singleton.

“In addition to attractive display units to showcase the campaign, we also launched a limited edition Johnnie Walker blend called Blender’s Batch Sherry Cask Finish, and supported the campaign with attractive offers including a grand prize for two to visit the Johnnie Walker House for a bespoke experience. We thank all the shoppers for their participation in the contest, and look forward to hosting the winners and offering them an opportunity to experience Johnnie Walker in a memorable way.”

Eraman has also launched its 2018 Shopping Extravaganza campaign under the tagline #25AmazingYears to mark its 25th anniversary. Prizes worth more than RM1.2 million (US$300,000) are on offer.

“With a minimum spend of RM350 (US$85) at any Eraman participating outlets, customers will stand a chance to win not one but two luxury cars from the Mercedes Benz CLA Coupe 200 AMG line and many other prizes including international holiday packages to Scotland, Austria, and Switzerland; gift vouchers; and designer handbags and jewellery,” commented Ahmad.

A series of promotions will mark the company’s 25th anniversary, as well as the upcoming celebrations of National Day and Malaysia Day in August and September respectively, Ahmad said.
