Yam said: “At Eraman, as a retailer of both duty free and non-duty free goods, we must be ahead of the curve to ensure that our products cater to the changing needs and tastes of our sophisticated travellers. It is in this context that we are proud to be at the forefront of showcasing passionate and elegant brands, such as Glenfiddich Grand Cru – an award-winning and globally-recognised premium brand that fits in perfectly with our retail philosophy.”

Williams said: “We are honoured to partner with Eraman on the launch of Glenfiddich Grand Cru, our newly released expression that has been matured for 23 years and finished in rare French cuvée oak casks. The team were thrilled to host the first-ever exclusive dinner for Eraman’s guests, providing an extraordinary Glenfiddich experience for attendees, and cementing the valuable partnership between William Grant & Sons and Eraman.”

As we noted when bringing readers news of the initial launch last September, Grand Cru is a statement that fine single malt Scotch whisky deserves a prime place at the luxury table. Below, Glenfiddich expressions were paired with food choices at the evening event in Kuala Lumpur.

Aside from Glenfiddich Grand Cru 23 year old, guests were also served a range of Speyside single malt whiskies, including Glenfiddich 21 year old Rum Cask Finish, Glenfiddich 25 year old Rare Oak and Glenfiddich 30 year old during the dinner. Brett Bayly added his insights about the whiskies that were presented during the evening.

The contribution from the liquor category in the year to November 2019 was 43% of Eraman’s retail and F&B sales, and grew at +3.8% year-on-year in the period.
