SOUTH AMERICA. Enrique Urioste, one of the Americas’ most experienced and respected travel retail executives, has been appointed Cluster General Manager for South America (excluding Brazil) by Dufry, effective 1 January.

Urioste will replace Oscar Garcia Pedrosa, who will retire in mid-2020 after giving outstanding service to Dufry and the travel retail industry for many years.

Dufry Central & South America Divisional Chief Executive Officer René Riedi told The Moodie Davitt Report: “Oscar will hand over during the first half of 2020 to Enrique and will then go back to Spain. He deserves his retirement and has done a great job. We are very happy to have got Enrique. He is a very knowledgeable person and knows the markets very well.
