Eleven-metre long pizza served at official opening of Bottega bar and restaurant at DXB

UAE. An official opening event for the Bottega Prosecco & Craft Beer Bar and Restaurant at Dubai International was held yesterday (12 February).

As reported following the initial launch in November, the opening is the 25th for the Italian F&B concept, five years after its debut, and the first in Dubai.

Bottega Prosecco & Craft Beer Bar and Restaurant at the airport is the result of a partnership between Bottega and HMSHost International, and is located in Concourse A.

The longest pizza ever prepared at Dubai International – stretching to 11 metres – was served during the event

The opening event was organised by airport operator Dubai Airports, and also celebrated other recent F&B openings of Jones The Grocer and Comptoir Libanais.

The longest pizza ever prepared at Dubai International – stretching to 11 metres – was served at Bottega Prosecco & Craft Beer Bar and Restaurant during the event.

Dubai Airports EVP Commercial Eugene Barry, HMSHost International CEO Walter Seib and Bottega Prosecco Bar Global Business Development Manager Claudia Gambin took part in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Bottega said its concept was created to deliver an experience that offered “good wine, genuine food and [the] convivial Italian lifestyle, all over the world and in different contexts, from airports to resorts and shopping centres”.

The concept was originally inspired by the philosophy of the Venetian ‘Bacaro’: an informal tavern, where food is mainly presented as ‘cicheti’ – traditional food bites to be consumed at the counter.
