DutyFreeZone.com announces launch of global concierge service

DutyFreeZone.com, claimed to be the world’s first virtual duty free shop, has announced the launch of a global concierge service.

The new service aims to help consumers worldwide with a variety of tasks, from arranging travel (e.g. travel agent services such as purchasing airline tickets, reserving hotel rooms and rental cars) and activities, to handling more localised services such as recommending a different route to work based on road/travel conditions.

The appointed personal concierge will offer assistance in several areas, including finance (paying bills), shopping (meal planning, remembering special occasions and purchasing gifts) and fitness (exercise monitoring and motivation, the way a personal trainer may do).

Consumers can search for deals through a web-based system, pay for items via secured credit card processing and have their purchases delivered directly to their home or office anywhere in the world.

The company said the DutyFreeZone.com business model offers benefits to both consumers (B2C) and businesses (B2B).

For B2C, a store owner uploads its products on DutyFreeZone.com, and the consumer logs on and buys the product at a discounted “˜Duty Free Zone price’. Products features are sold for as low as -50% off the retail price. “The retailer can move store inventory, drive traffic into the store while DutyFreeZone.com generates the traffic,” the company explained.

For B2B, DutyFreeZone.com offers bulk buying for importers/wholesalers worldwide. Sellers or manufacturers can upload their products on DutyFreeZone.com.

“Our concierge service is going to revolutionise the e-commerce industry and generate online business, and in-store traffic for small to medium store owners,” DutyFreeZone Vice President of Operations Angel David declared. “We challenge and invite retail store owners to upload their products on DutyFreeZone.com at no cost to them. DutyFreeZone.com will display the selected products and sell them to consumers using our proprietary marketing technology.”
