Duty free retailer Lintel is the first carbon-neutral firm in the Maldives


MALDIVES. Lintel Investments & Management Services has been named the Maldives’ first carbon-neutral company. The company is a leading duty free retailer and distributor of fragrances & cosmetics in the country.

Lintel was awarded its certificate by The Carbon Neutral Company, a leading provider of carbon reduction solutions, after reducing its carbon emissions to net zero across its operations (including shops, offices and warehouses).

Lintel is a 100% Maldivian-owned firm that has been operating since 1989. It has held the fragrances & cosmetics concession at Malé International Airport since 2002.

Lintel’s core business lies in the distribution and retailing of beauty products. Its units include Le Cute Duty Free, Le Cute downtown (its flagship store), Le Cute Maafannu (also downtown), Le Cute Boutique at Sun Island Resort & Spa, Le Cute Boutique at Hilton Irufushi Beach and Spa Resort, Le Cute Kulhudhuffushi (located on one of the islands) and Repute 2, a business-to-business operation.
