UKRAINE. Duty Free Americas has been selected by Ukraine International Airlines to launch its inflight duty free retail programme.
In addition to product selection and promotional activities, Duty Free Americas will be responsible for point of sale software and back office solutions and crew training.
Duty Free Americas said it would leverage its network of brands and product resources to merchandise the programme “in a manner that caters to the needs of [the airline’s] passengers”.
“We are excited that Ukraine International Airlines selected Duty Free Americas to launch their inflight duty free programme,” said Duty Free Americas’ Dov Falic. “We will work very hard with [the airline] to ensure a new level of satisfaction to passengers and an enhanced onboard experience by providing the best inflight offering and back-up infrastructure.”
Ukraine International Airlines CEO Yuri Miroshnikov commented: “We are thrilled to relaunch our new duty free programme to better serve our customers. We looked at several different duty free operators and chose Duty Free Americas because they possess the industry expertise, strong product portfolio, and state-of-the-art technology.
“We look forward to growing the partnership and creating additional revenue opportunities for our respective companies.”
