Dufry-led HMSHost extends food & beverage footprint at Hamad International Airport

Named the ‘Best Overall Airport in the World,’ Hamad International Airport boasts an extensive array of F&B options partly driven by its partnership with HMSHost International

QATAR. Travel restaurateur HMSHost International, now part of Dufry Group, has secured additional contracts to operate ten more food & beverage locations at Hamad International Airport for seven years.

This, alongside the airport’s terminal expansion project, increases the scope of the joint venture the partners signed in October 2021. 20 of the venture’s 24 stores are now officially open.

The company noted that its diverse line-up of concepts is tailored to the needs of all travellers and blends with the design and delivery of the newly expanded terminal. Its food offer combines proprietary brands with well-known brands, each one bringing rich flavours and distinctive visual identities.

The food court features a diverse selection of food options, from Asian cuisine to healthy snacks

The outlets now open include juice and food bar VIT, which offers healthy grab-and-go food choices such as salad bowls and fruit juices; while Italian restaurant Motta offers Milanese sweets-inspired dishes in an elevated dining atmosphere.

Wine bar Enoteca Giardino offers a wide selection of Italian wines, antipasti and small plates. It also offers breathtaking views of the airport’s indoor garden, The Orchard.

Other highlights include Asia Street Cooking Ltd, which specialises in urban Asian-fusion food.

Popular fast-food brands are also available including KFC and Burger King, as well as UK restaurant chain Wagamama and coffee chain Costa Coffee. Convenience snacks and drinks concepts Grab&Fly is now also open.

Jones the Grocer Express offers an assortment of healthy pastries and sandwiches

Jones Social, which makes its airport debut in Hamad International Airport, offers a tapas-inspired dining experience amid a stylish holiday restaurant setting. The location is its second in the Middle East.

Featuring a ‘grab and go’ counter, Jones the Grocer Express offers single-origin coffees, pastries, sandwiches, salads, soups and main dishes in a portable package. It is the sister restaurant of Jones Social.

Middle Eastern concepts such as Comptoir Libanais and bakery brand Simit Sarayi feature prominently at Hamad International Airport.

Eat Greek offers fresh and wholesome cooking in a Mediterranean-inspired setting.

The airport is set to reveal four more HMSHost-run F&B outlets in mid-2023 including Italian Kitchen Terracotta, Giraffe, Le Petit Belge, and The Dosa Factory.

HMSHost International proprietary brand Italian Kitchen Terracotta will highlight an array of Italian specialties, from Neapolitan and Roman pizzas to cannelloni, all made with fresh quality ingredients.

Making its debut in Qatar, Giraffe will offer a range of international dishes including gyozas, halloumi fries, Katsu chicken curry and Huevos Rancheros.

La Petit Belge will offer a menu that shines the light on Belgian hops culture and cuisine; while the Dosa Factory will bring authentic Indian cuisine to the food court.
