Dufry and Fossil Group Europe partner to open wearables pop-up at Zürich Airport

Fossil Group Europe has partnered with Dufry to open a pop-up store at Zürich Airport showcasing its range of wearable products. These include touchscreen smartwatches, hybrid smartwatches and activity trackers.

The pop-up will be open until 23 April 2017, and is the first to integrate all of the Fossil Group brands’ wearables and connected accessories in one space in travel retail.

These brands are Fossil Q, Skagen Connected, Michael Kors Access, Diesel and Kate Spade New York Connected.

“We are extremely excited to be involved in this pioneering project of ‘wearable technology’ partnering with Fossil Group to bring to the airport retail environment a modern and vibrant concept,” said Dufry Global Category Manager Watch and Jewelry Moyra Race.

“Constantly striving to keep pace with the technological era we will be extremely interested to see how passengers engage with this new format and look forward to developing this in the future.”

Fossil Group Europe Travel Retail Director Wolfgang Czepiczka commented: “I am delighted that together with our partner Dufry we were able to bring all our wearables competency to Zürich Airport. As a first in travel retail we are displaying all Fossil Group’s wearables products in a single point-of-sale.

“Connecting with the affluent Millennial consumer is key for us during this promotion, but this is an innovative product for travel retail that can give new impulses.”
