Belgian chocolatier Duc d’O has appointed UAE-based Kreol Travel Retail as its travel retail distributor for the Gulf region.
Commenting on the new agreement, Kreol Travel Retail CEO A.S.Lal said: “We are delighted at this opportunity to represent the unique Duc d’O company. We are working with our partners and associates, including Beyond Brands, to maintain the premium positioning of Duc d’O confectionery products as befits its exclusive status.
“We entered the travel retail arena in 2002 when we partnered with Alpha Retail (now part of World Duty Free Group) to create a successful joint venture in India. We went on to independently represent many global and regional brands and established a strong distribution network in the Gulf countries,” he added.
Founded in 1983 as a family business, Duc d’O became a part of the Belgian chocolate group Gudrun in 2011. Duc d’O Global Business Director Luuk Reijnders said: “We are delighted to establish our presence in this region with Kreol Travel Retail. We look forward to sweet success.”
