Dublin Airport seeks operator for convenience store and delicatessen

IRELAND. Dublin Airport operator daa has launched a tender for the operation of a convenience store and delicatessen.

The unit is located on the ground level of the car park atrium which directly connects to Terminal 1.

High footfall area: A view of the atrium from the airport’s public transportation zone

A minimum of 330sq m will be available to create and deliver the offer, daa said. It is exploring the possibility of creating a walk-through store through the atrium space, which would increase the footprint.

The anticipated tender period is ten years, with expected sales of €40 million in that time. Unit refreshes will be required at agreed intervals throughout the lifespan of the contract.

Prominent presence: The view from outside the current convenience store

The successful bidder will be expected to deliver a “high-quality experience including the provision of a hot and cold delicatessen and a strong coffee offer”, according to tender documents.

Interested parties must submit their bids by 2 July 2018.
