HWH Investments opens Dubai International’s first Emirati restaurant

UAE. A new locally-inspired coffee house, S34 Gahwa Mezza Bar, has opened at Dubai International Terminal 3. It is the first Emirati restaurant to open at the airport, said Dubai Airports, which called it a “home-grown concept taking inspiration from the coffeehouses found in old Dubai and the alleys of the Al Fahidi neighbourhood”.

It offers gahwa, the traditional Arabic coffee with cardamom, and other items including karak tea.

The outlet is operated by HWH Hospitality Investments, which last week won Airport Coffee, Tea, Non-alcoholic Beverage Shop of the Year for its Treehouse Juicery offer at Dubai International Airport

Dubai Airports noted: “The dining and take-away menu has been especially created to give customers a true taste of the Emirates and the Middle East, offering samosas and sambousek with a choice of flavours including chicken and date, spiced lamb or spinach and feta. Main dishes include succulent Ras El Hanout lamb shoulder, meaty kibbeh flan and delicious moussaka.”
