UAE. Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman and CEO Colm McLoughlin has been named ‘Retail Business Leader of the Year’.
It is the second consecutive year he has received the accolade, as part of the Gulf Business Awards.
The annual Gulf Business Awards recognise the most successful companies and industry leaders across nine categories including IT, banking, real estate, aviation, retail, media, tourism, healthcare and energy. They are organised by Motivate Publishing and were this year held at the Fairmont The Palm Hotel in Dubai on 10 September.
Commenting on the award, McLoughlin said: “I am delighted to accept the Retail Business Leader of the Year award for the second time and dedicate this to our team of staff and to our Chairman, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his enormous achievements and ceaseless contributions to the growth of the UAE, especially in aviation.”
Consul General of Canada to the UAE H.E. Emmanuel Kamarianakis presented the award to McLoughlin (pictured above).
Dubai Airports won the ‘Aviation and Transport Company of the Year’ award.
The awards are judged by the Gulf Business team and an independent panel of judges, as well as through public voting.
