UAE. Dubai Duty Free has picked up two awards at the World Sustainability Congress.
The company was presented with the Excellence in Sustainable EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Management award. And its Executive Vice Chairman and CEO Colm McLoughlin was a recipient of the 100 Global Sustainable Leaders (CEO) accolade.
Dubai Duty Free Present Senior Vice President – Finance Bernard Creed (below) attended the congress to receive the awards from Dr. Tarita Shankar – Founder and Chairperson of the Indira Group of Institutes.
McLoughlin said: “Sustainability on EHS has always been central to the nature of Dubai Duty Free business and to the way the company operates.
“We endeavour to make a real difference to the corporate social responsibility community, business and the economy with extensive sustainability initiatives and practices that our whole workforce are actively involved in through day-to-day implementation and continual improvement of practices”.
The awards ceremony was attended by over 200 professionals from different organisations, NGOs, public interest groups and governmental bodies.
The World Sustainability Congress is a not-for-profit organisation that advocates for sustainable leadership. It brings together professionals from different industries and businesses “who believe in the value of creating a better tomorrow”.
