UAE/FRANCE. A Dubai Duty Free beauty consultant has won the top accolade at a Dior awards ceremony.
Engelbert Chua was named as the Dior Golden BC (beauty consultant) Awardee during the Dior Travel Retail Convention held in Paris in February.
Chua won the award ahead of 628 Dior beauty consultants from Europe and the Middle East. It followed a 12-month selection process undertaken by Dior Paris and based on a list of eight criteria. This was supported by the results of a ‘mystery shopper’ survey, in which Chua scored highly.
Parfums Christian Dior Senior Vice President – Travel Retail Olivier Dubos and Director – Travel Retail Africa, Middle East & Indian Sub-continent Frank Dagher Hayeck announced the award at the ceremony.
Dubai Duty Free Executive Vice Chairman & CEO Colm McLoughlin commented: “I couldn’t be more proud of our staff and their dedication to their work. Congratulations to Engelbert and the whole Dubai Duty Free team who are knowledgeable and passionate about our business.”
Chua has been with Dubai Duty Free for nine years, of which eight have been as a Dior beauty consultant.
He was also presented with a Dior backpack and an invitation to attend the luxury goods company’s worldwide brand convention in Paris and Grasse, France, in April.
During the convention, Chua will enjoy a private visit to 30 Montaigne Avenue in Paris – more commonly known as the couture House of Dior.
The annual Dior Travel Retail Convention is attended by Dior executives, members and beauty consultants.
