Dubai Airports launches second round of Concourse A food & beverage tenders

UAE. Dubai Airports is inviting potential partners to tender for a second package of food & beverage outlets at Dubai International Concourse A. Like the first round, which was released on 7 December, the tenders cover coffee shops, grab & go units, casual dining and licensed offers.

Dubai Airports said it aims to deliver “the best in food quality, service and satisfaction levels for our ever-demanding customers”.

Dubai Airports says it aims to lift “quality, service and satisfaction levels” in F&B; recently added concepts in other concourses include Pret A Manger and the Treehouse cafe

Criteria for potential partners include:

  • Airport/high footfall hub experience of at least three years;
  • Currently operating a minimum of three outlets, with an annual turnover of at least AED20 million;
  • A licence to operate within the UAE.

The airport company noted: “Dubai Airports aspires to be the ‘Airport of Choice’ for the millions of customers it welcomes each year. Our focus is on setting the trend for the next era of air travel, driving a completely new, fresh and innovative approach across the entire customer journey and striving for an airport experience unlike anything we know today. Dubai Airports aims to exemplify a new breed of airport and provide the opportunity to innovate and change the existing paradigm of a world-class customer experience.”

Concourse A opened in 2013 as part of Terminal 3 and is used exclusively by Emirates Airline. Concourse A is the world’s only purpose-built facility for the Airbus A380 and features multi-level boarding for first and business class passengers directly from the respective lounges. At the time, the facility increased airport capacity from 60 million passengers to 75 million passengers a year. The airport will handle an estimated 89 million travellers in 2017.

The tender documents for this second round are available from 24 December to 11 January.
