DKNY Golden Delicious fragrance inspires Million Dollar flacon

Aramis and Designer Fragrances has extended its DKNY Delicious fragrance portfolio with a unique new version. The brand has partnered with celebrity jeweller Martin Katz, who was inspired by the new DKNY Golden Delicious Eau de Parfum, to create the Million Dollar DKNY bottle.

The flacon will go on a world tour, making stops at various events and fragrance retailers throughout the US, Asia, and Europe. The bottle is on show in travel retail from 9-15 October exclusively at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3.

“It was a privilege to design the Million Dollar DKNY fragrance bottle,” noted Katz. “Much like building a fragrance, my design started from a foundation. The Golden Delicious fragrance exemplifies the spirit and energy of New York so my bottle design needed to reflect this as well.

“I began the design process by handpicking unique stones from around the world to create the NYC skyline. The finished result was the most exquisite fragrance bottle in existence.”

The DKNY Million Dollar bottle comprises 18K yellow gold with a rock crystal base. It is adorned with over 2,000 stones sourced from all over the world, including emeralds from Columbia, rubies and sapphires from Asia and precious stones from Brazil. Each stone was hand placed on the bottle, which took nearly 1,500 hours to make.

More about the fragrance
DKNY Golden Delicious is described as a luxe scent that radiates seduction. The juice opens on top notes of orange flower water, mirabelle and the signature Golden Delicious Apple. The heart blends white rose, Casablanca lily, vanilla orchid and muguet, atop a dry-down of musk, sandalwood and teak.

Reflecting the name, the packaging is a reworked, gold-coloured version of the original, apple-inspired Be Delicious flacon, topped with a metallic cap.

DKNY Golden Delicious Eau de Parfum will be available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml references, complemented by a Shimmer Body Lotion. The line is on-counter now in travel retail worldwide.
