Distell launches travel-exclusive Bunnahabhain edition; revamps Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky

Distell Global Travel Retail has added a travel retail-exclusive Bunnahabhain edition and revamped Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky bottle to its spirits offer. Both will be showcased at the TFWA World Exhibition (stand M64, Green Village).

Bunnahabhain’s new An Cladach edition joins the brand’s two other travel retail exclusives: Eirigh Na Greine and Cruach-Mhòna. The single malt comes in a 1-litre format and is presented in a gift tube which features an illustration of a fishing boat sailing on rough seas to Bunnahabhain Bay. An Cladach offers scents of caramel and vanilla and flavours of sweet sherry, spices, nuts and a briny coastal undertone. The finish is dry and fruity.

Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky now comes with a new label which features visual cues that aim to enhance the story of the South African single grain whisky. Founder Distiller Andy Watts’ signature has been added to the label, paying tribute to his vision for crafting a single grain whisky long before the category became a trend around the globe.

Bain’s is claimed to be the only whisky in the world to be made from South African maize. It is double matured first for three years in casks previously used for the maturation of bourbon and then re-vatted for a further two years into a fresh set of first-fill ex-bourbon casks.
