Canevel Spumanti, the Valdobbiadene winery in Veneto, Italy owned by Masi Agricola and renowned for its premium sparkling wines, has partnered with lifestyle fashion brand Diesel in a CDO Organic Extra Brut Prosecco.
The co-branded Casa Canevel-Diesel Prosecco takes inspiration from the partners’ shared vocation for sustainability. It is produced in a limited and numbered quantity (15,979 bottles for the year 2020), and will be available in selected channels including travel retail.
Made exclusively from Glera grapes sourced from selected organic vineyards, the expression is the result of a lengthy natural single-fermentation process. The vinification and spumante-making process take place continuously, using only fermented grape must, free from added sucrose.
The result, according to the partners, is a “superior quality wine that fully respects the product’s naturalness and the aromatic component of Glera”. The Casa Canevel-Diesel Prosecco’s aroma is characterised by fruity notes of green apples, citrus and white flowers, balanced by a low residual sugar level at 5 grams per litre.
Renowned for its innovative and nonconformist aesthetics, Diesel added stand-out label and packaging featuring gold and bright green notes.
Canevel Spumanti and parent company Masi Agricola Chief Executive Officer Federico Girotto said: “This Prosecco seals the combination of the sparkling wine production expertise of a highly renowned premium brand the likes of Canevel, and the alternative approach of an international lifestyle brand the likes of Diesel.
He described the Prosecco as “a spumante with an unmistakable personality, marking the convergence of sustainability, naturalness and democratic nature”.
