DFS Group unveils exclusive new Bulgari collection

DFS Group has partnered with Italian luxury watch and jewellery house Bulgari to present a new DFS exclusive.

The Lucea Tubogas watch collection, unveiled earlier this year at Baselworld, launches this month and is available exclusively at DFS and T Galleria by DFS stores until 31 January next year.

Since its launch in 2014, the Lucea has become one of Bulgari’s most popular timepieces. The new style, which incorporates the brand’s familiar Tubogas bracelet, is the first major design evolution for the watch since it was introduced.

The Tubogas bracelet was first used in the 1940s, but it was in the 1970s – the decade that saw Bulgari launch its hugely successful watches line – that the style became a real trademark of the house. The stark, engineered coil of the bracelet combined with the colourful precious gems and mother-of-pearl of the watch face creates a striking contrast typical of Bulgari’s design style.

Available in 28mm or 33mm, it features a steel case with an alternating steel Tubogas bracelet and a shimmering white mother-of-pearl dial. A practical quartz movement powers the 28mm model while the 33mm version features a mechanical automatic-winding calibre. Diamond hour markers and a pink cabochon-cut gemstone set into the crown add the finishing touches to an understated yet luxurious design.
