DFS and Bacardi partner in exclusive Aberfeldy 1999 launch at Changi

Bacardi Global Travel Retail is partnering with DFS in the global launch of Aberfeldy 1999, available exclusively at DFS Changi Singapore.

Aberfeldy 1999 is the latest expression in the new Exceptional Cask Series, a range of rare and aged whiskies from the Bacardi portfolio.

The 75ml Aberfeldy 1999, with a 43% ABV, is priced at S$180 (US$132). It will be available later in the year in DFS stores at Abu Dhabi International Airport, and in Hawaii and North America.

Aberfeldy 1999 is a one-off release of an 18yo small batch single malt whisky, with only 3,126 bottles produced.

The liquid was selected by Aberfeldy Malt Master Stephanie Macleod and finished in port casks for two years. Its taste profile includes summer berries and aromatic flowering currant, a hint of cinnamon and dark chocolate, with a smooth layer of caramel to finish.

According to Bacardi, Aberfeldy has been the fastest-growing single malt in the top 15 in global travel retail for the last five years, with a +36% five-year CAGR. It is the ninth most popular single malt in Asia Pacific travel retail. IWSR 2017 rated it as the  20th largest single malt in 2012 and 12th in 2017.
