Dewar’s proves a livestream hit on TripurX

CHINA. TripurX Tech’s new weekly livestreaming service generated impressive traffic across two livestreams, held on 6 November and 13 November, dedicated to Bacardi-owned Scotch whisky brand Dewar’s and its presence with China Duty Free Group (CDFG).

Here we present short edited highlights of the two-hour-plus programmes, which generated a total 253,000 views and 198,000 likes for the expressions featured.

TripurX highlighted Dewar’s 15yo and 18yo blended Scotch whiskies. It also highlighted the brand’s Double Double Series, which earned Dewar’s Master Blender Stephanie MacLeod the coveted Master Blender of the Year title at the International Whisky Competition in 2019.

The Double Double Series comprises of the Dewar’s 21yo, 27yo and 32yo.

TripurX also shone the light on Dewar’s and CDFG’s ongoing promotion at the Sanya International Duty Free Shopping Complex in Hainan.

Livestream viewers also received special discount coupons which can be used on CDF’s ecommerce platform and in the Dewar’s counter at the CDF Mall within the complex.

TripurX Tech’s livestreaming service is gaining rapid momentum in China. The programme, filmed in the company’s Shanghai studio, features a range of popular duty free items, particularly from the beauty and spirits categories.

Earlier editions focused on Beam Suntory-owned Cognac brand Courvoisier, French wellness brand L’Occitane and LVMH-owned natural, high-end skincare brand Fresh.

The Courvoisier Cognac livestream generated 348,000 views; 1.98 million likes; 35,559 comments; and 4,890 click throughs.
