Delamain partners with Lagardère Travel Retail for XXO Cognac launch

Cognac house Delamain has partnered with Lagardère Travel Retail to launch an XXO expression at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.

Delamain, owned by the Bollinger Group, said this is the first XXO Cognac exclusively from Grande Champagne to be made available in duty free. The decanter is highlighted at the retailer’s flagship store at the French hub, in a space inspired by a vineyard terrace.

The Delamain XXO contains Cognacs which are aged separately in oak barrels in riverside cellars, before being selected and blended to reveal the finesse of the Grande Champagne terroir.

Delamain XXO is described as deep and fruity, with autumnal aromas such as fig and ripe lychee, complemented by notes of almonds, cardamom and cloves.

The launch confirms Delamain’s ambitions to drive growth in the prestige Cognac category.

In line with its identity and its positioning, Delamain has been reviewing its range since 2020 when Pale & Dry Centenaire was launched to mark the brand’s 100th anniversary.

As reported, Delamain was elected to the Comité Colbert, a group which is regarded as the voice of French luxury brands and businesses, last year.
