“Defining the next stage”: Elemis makes executive changes to focus on expansion and sustainability

UK skincare brand Elemis has announced three key executive updates relating to Co-founders, Oriele Frank, Noella Gabriel and Sean Harrington.

With a focus on brand growth and sustainability, Frank is named Elemis Chief Product and Sustainability Officer while Gabriel takes on the role of Elemis Global President. Elemis CEO Harrington joins the Board of L’Occitane International as Executive Director.

As reported, L’Occitane Group acquired Elemis early last year.

Harrington said: “It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce these significant changes to the roles of my fellow Elemis Co-founders. The success of Elemis over the last 30 years has been directly driven by these two individuals who continue to inspire and go from strength to strength.

“They are a credit to Elemis and the industry, so it is only fitting that they now carry the two most critical roles in defining the next stage of the future vision of this amazing journey to being the world’s greatest British premium skincare brand.”

Elemis CEO Sean Harrington underlines the role that Co-founders Oriele Frank and Noella Gabriel have played in the brand’s success

Gabriel, as President of Elemis USA, spearheaded the brand’s growth and digital first strategy across the US through the transition in ownership. Her drive, passion and leadership has, according to Elemis, been leveraged across the business worldwide to provide the brand with an “unprecedented performance in growth and profitability during the world’s toughest crisis”.

In her latest role, Gabriel will oversee the US, UK and EMEA markets as well as contributing to the business performance across the Asia Pacific region.

Gabriel described 2020 as a “rollercoaster of a year”. Elemis, however, identified opportunities to accelerate its global initiatives to ensure the brand remains “ahead of the curve”.

“It has been a privilege to have the opportunity to steer and navigate through these unchartered territories with our talented global teams,” Gabriel said. “Together with my co-founders, our promise is that we will excel and deliver our best work ever to support Elemis’ continued success post-COVID-19,” she added.

As Elemis UK Managing Director, Frank played an instrumental part in future proofing the business through the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond, the company stated.

A key priority for Elemis is the development and implementation of a sustainability and a CSR mandate. Its sustainable vision focuses on harnessing science, respecting nature, preserving the oceans and promoting health and wellness.

Frank commented: “Elemis never stands still; we are never complacent, and we constantly strive to be better, evolving positively. Our vision is for Elemis to the number one British premium skincare brand in the world, but also the best British skincare brand for the world.

“As we grow successfully and globally, we are committed to a mind-set change to ensure we focus on sustainability as a priority and drive a circular model of reinvesting into our product, our planet, our people and our philanthropic causes,” she concluded.
