Davidoff is set to release a contemporary accessories line honouring Sir Winston Churchill, following the relaunch of Davidoff Winston Churchill Cigars in 2015. The line will be available globally from August.
Davidoff said the accessories line celebrates Churchill’s illustrious career as a statesman.
The Ambassador and Primos humidors are available in Union Jack and London designs. Union Jack depicts the British flag on blue birchwood and features a piece of marquetry made from a darker shade of tulip wood. The London design shows the city landscape with Churchill’s profile on a beige tulip wood.
The Ambassador, which has capacity for between 70 and 90 cigars, contains a tray, removable basket and dividers that allow the cigars to be arranged. The Primos has capacity for between 25 to 35 cigars. Both humidors are handmade by a French atelier, contain the Davidoff Slim Regulator and are said to maintain a stable relative humidity level of 70% to 72%. The humidor interiors are made of okoumé, a wood from Gabon in West Africa. Okoumé is odourless and tasteless and ensures that no wood flavours are transferred to the cigars, said Davidoff.
The Davidoff liquor glasses, available as a set of two, come with two cigar holders on the side. Churchill’s silhouette is sandblasted on the bottom of the crystal glass.
The porcelain ash trays, which feature a Union Jack on them, are crafted from porcelain from Limoges by a French atelier. The ashtray has two slightly angled cigar notches to ensure the cigars do not touch each other. Only 115 ash trays are available and each is numbered.
