Davidoff catches the Cool Water wave with two new scents

Coty has launched two new Davidoff Cool Water fragrances: Cool Water Wave Woman and Davidoff Cool Water – The Coolest Edition.

Davidoff Cool Water Wave Woman is on-counter now in Asia and Europe travel retail as a 50ml (€38.90) and 100ml (€60.20). The perfume was created by Maia Lernout and Francis Kurkdjian and is inspired by the sea and sand at Bondi Beach. Key fragrance notes include lime, pear and jasmine sambac.

Davidoff Cool Water Wave Woman’s new refined shape capitalises on its predecessor, Davidoff Cool Water Woman, while further celebrating the beauty of the female form with the addition of curves, said Davidoff.

The fragrance bottle is a translucent blue colour and features a silver cap.

Davidoff Cool Water – The Coolest Edition celebrates the 30th anniversary of the first Davidoff Cool Water fragrance. The fragrance, priced at €64.40, launched in Europe and Asia travel retail in May and is rolling out this month to the Americas.

The metallic blue bottle was inspired by a scene from the original advertising campaign by Jean-Paul Saulieu in which the Davidoff Cool Water bottle appears inside a block of ice.

The original fragrance has been reinterpreted by Antoine Lie as an explosion of “extreme freshness and intense energy”. The classic aromatic signature is twisted with notes of peppermint and aldehydes, while fresh floral and spicy notes of lavender and juniper notes sustain the orange blossom heart note. The dry down comprises moss, amber and musk.

Davidoff Cool Water – The Coolest Edition’s blue flacon features silver graphics and is housed in an ice cube box.

Davidoff Cool Water remains in the top ten international men’s fragrances and is a best-seller in Germany, UK, the USA and Italy. One bottle is sold every eight minutes worldwide, according to Coty.
