Dance moves: Carolina Herrera reveals two 212 fragrances

Carolina Herrera has extended its 212 range with two new fragrances which are inspired by the ‘voguing’ modern house dance trend, developed during the 1970s in New York.

Carolina Herrera encourages women to ‘own the party’ through its new 212 VIP Rosé Extra edp.

Brand owner Puig said the limited-edition 212 VIP Extra fragrances – 212 VIP Rosé Extra and 212 VIP Black Extra – “celebrate uniqueness” and echo the dance style which is known for its energetic movements and is still seen at parties, clubs and in competitions.

Both fragrances are available now in travel retail.

The latest 212 extension is presented in a new-look metallised bottle.

212 VIP Rosé Extra is an oriental floral edp for women. Top notes include cherry liquor, litchi and Italian mandarin, followed by bitter almond, peony and orris concrete. Its base combines queenwood, Madagascan vanilla and tonka bean.

212 VIP Black Extra edp for men opens with notes of rum and cola and grapefruit, followed by lavender, black leather and mos. Its base includes cocoa and musk.

The bottles are the extra version of 212 VIP Rosé and 212 VIP Black, released in 2014. The glittery pink 212 VIP Rosé Extra bottle reflects the capsule 212 from 1997 while the 212 VIP Black Extra bottle offers a new metallised colour graduation.

Models and influencers Hailey Baldwin, Cameron Dallas and Taylor Hill head the marketing campaign for both fragrances.
