“Crucial for our future”: TFWA’s new digital retail exhibition takes shape

tfwa_digital_village_logo_thumbFRANCE/INTERNATIONAL. An upcoming Tax Free World Association (TFWA) exhibition will allow businesses to showcase their digital solutions and services aimed at the duty free and travel retail industry.

The TFWA Digital Village exhibition will take place at the TFWA Exhibition & Conference in Cannes in October in an 840sq m area.

Among the companies on the exhibitor list so far are inflight sales companies SKYdeals.shop and Airfree Retail as well as CRM and loyalty brands Inflight Media Digital and China Smiling. Instore solutions specialist Depack Design; CRM, loyalty, geo-locations and in-store analytics company Part&Ma; and digital agency Ignis will also be exhibiting.

“The duty free and travel retail sector is a market of enormous potential for innovative technology providers,” said TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen. “Embracing digital technology is not an optional extra for the duty free and travel retail sector – it is fundamental to allow us to continue to thrive and grow with the same success in coming decades as we have for the past 70 years of our history.

“This new venture is not a departure for TFWA, rather a platform to help our industry further adopt the technologies we have long recognised as crucial for our future.”

TFWA Digital Village can accommodate about 30 exhibitors, who will also be able to benefit from the TFWA ONE2ONE meeting service, which allows participating companies to secure private, pre-scheduled meetings with industry players.

The exhibition will run between 4 and 6 October. An opening cocktail will be held at the Majestic Hotel on the evening of 3 October. A dedicated digital workshop will be held between 8am and 9am the same day at the hotel.
