“Creating an unprecedented culinary travel experience” HMSHost brings new F&B options to LaGuardia

USA. Global restaurateur HMSHost is set to open three new F&B outlets – Shake Shack, La Chula and Osteria Fusco – at LaGuardia Airport Terminal B.

LaGuardia Gateway Partners, which is rebuilding and operating Terminal B, awarded HMSHost an eight-year contract. The new restaurants, in the terminal’s eastern concourse, will open later this year in conjunction with the opening of the first gates.

“Five-star Mexican fare”: La Chula is a tacos and margaritas specialist.

HMSHost underlined its aim to provide a “unique dining experience” in Terminal B. A key to that commitment is its collaboration with New York restaurateurs who offer a range of food styles and are known for their culinary expertise and dedication to quality.

New York City Chef Julian Medina’s Mexican ‘taqueria’ La Chula specialises in traditional and freshly-prepared tacos and margaritas. HMSHost said the outlet will offer travellers accessibility to “five-star Mexican fare”.

Osteria Fusco is led by New York Chef, restaurateur and cookbook author Scott Conant. Inspired by his grandmother (a specialist in Italian cuisine), his dishes include Pasta al Pomodoro, Rigatoni with Nonna’s Neopolitan meat ragu, and Chicken ‘Osso Bucco’ with gremolata and baby vegetables.

Shake Shack is a ‘roadside’ burger stand known for its Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, griddled flat-top hot dogs, frozen custard, crinkle-cut fries and craft beer and wine.

HMSHost operates restaurants in New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport and in service plazas along the New York State Thruway, as well as Newark Liberty International Airport, the New Jersey Turnpike and the Garden State Expressway.
