China (Macau)

The second quarter of 2020 could be the worst three-month stretch on record for Macau’s six casino concessionaires, reports Casino.org, citing Morgan Stanley Research. The Special Administrative Region’s gaming industry remains hindered by travel restrictions keeping gamblers away, with sharply adverse knock-on effects for luxury retail.

South Korea

South Korea reported 44 new COVID-19 infections, of which 24 were imported. It’s the first time in two weeks that imported cases have outnumbered domestic cases, The Korea Herald reports.
