Coty Campus beauty Metaverse set to launch this fall

Beauty giant Coty is launching Coty Campus — the first holistic internal beauty Metaverse platform — this fall.

Coty Campus is built with state-of-the-art 3D technology and aims to upskill Coty’s global workforce of over 11,000 employees and empower innovation for its portfolio of brands. 

The virtual campus underlines Coty’s renewed focus on digitalisation. Coty Chief Digital Officer Jean-Denis Mariani said: “Coty is committed to being a leader in digital and continues to push the boundaries of innovation.”

Coty Campus was developed in partnership with 3D social platform Spatial and integrates both desktop and mobile technology. The platform will offer a range of tools for users: text and vocal chat discussions, screen-and-file sharing and customisable avatars.  

“With Coty Campus, we are proud to leverage Spatial’s Web3 and gaming technology on a groundbreaking scale to create new immersive experiences that will provide the most interactive solutions for collaboration and co-creation. Coty is thrilled to be the first beauty company to embark on this kind of project,” Mariani added. 

Into the future: Coty Campus will have a phygital rewards system, incentivising its 11,000 global employees to get involved in the internal Metaverse

Coty Campus is the first Metaverse to implement a phygital rewards system that gamifies global collaboration and engagement. Users will be incentivised to participate through item collection, location exploration and quest fulfillment.
