Côte d’Azur-influenced menu features at Cannes Mandelieu’s newest restaurant

FRANCE. Cannes Mandelieu Airport has opened a new restaurant offering brasserie and bistro type cuisine.

Escale Gourmet is aimed at the VIP clientele using the dedicated General Aviation airport, but is also open to non-travellers. It opened on 10 May.

Chef Florian Ollivier, described as a young culinary talent who has worked in the restaurants of high-end hotels, has created the Côte d’Azur-influenced menu.

It features fresh salads, a semi-cooked tuna tataki and steak Rossini or vegetarian burgers, as well as a number of homemade desserts.

The restaurant, which is open Monday to Friday from 0900 to 1800, can accommodate up to 70 people and offers runway views. It offers a takeaway and ‘quick express 30’ service between 1100 and 1500.
