DENMARK. Copenhagen Airport handled 1,310,188 passengers in January, a fall of -14.3% year-on-year – marking a significant escalation in the downward trend first seen last August.
Total international passenger figures slipped by -14.2% to 1.17 million, with domestic numbers also falling by -14.6%.
Scheduled international traffic slumped by -14.6% to 1.0 million during the month, as did charter traffic, which declined by -10.1% to 99,413.
Of the airport’s departing passengers, 187,653 were transfer/transit, a decrease of -11.4% against January last year. Local passenger numbers plummeted by -16.4% to 458,333.
There were 18,529 take-offs and landings at the airport in January, a fall of -13.2% on last year’s figures. Of these, 15,411 (-13.8%) were international and 3,118 (-10.2%) were domestic.
