Cookies, cuisine and convenience: Changi opens three retail and F&B concepts

SINGAPORE. A handcrafted cookies concept, a Chinese restaurant, and a convenience store have opened at Singapore Changi.

The airport said ‘Christine’s by The Cookie Museum’ was renowned for its handcrafted cookies featuring local flavours such as chicken rice, pandan, chilli crab and durian. The concept is now open in the transit area of Terminal 2.

‘Crystal Jade La Mian Xiao Long Bao’ offers classic and contemporary interpretations of Chinese cuisine such as steamed dumplings and handmade noodles, and is located in the transit area of Terminal 1.

In the public areas, convenience store 7-Eleven has commenced operations in Terminal 1 (Level 3).

The airport said it handled 4.77 million passengers in October 2016, representing a +3.7% year-on-year increase.

South East Asia and South Asia led overall growth. Among Changi’s top 10 country markets, Malaysia (+11%) and India (+12%) registered double-digit growth.

For the first ten months of 2016, passenger traffic at Changi Airport rose +6.0% to 48.24 million.

The airport also commenced its Northern Winter 2016 season on 30 October. A total of 45 new services to ten destinations across Asia will be introduced during the period.
