Confectionery specialist L’Orchidée opens pop-up at London Heathrow

UK. Confectionery gifting specialist L’Orchidée has opened a pop-up shop at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 3.

L’Orchidée, which has four stores in London, makes handcrafted, gluten free items including French macarons, travel-sized cakes and chocolates. It uses traditional French methods to make sweets from scratch. Flavours include Ferrero Rocher, Persian pistachio, rainbow white chocolate and Madagascan vanilla. Ingredients range from seasonal organic British strawberries and Venezuelan chocolate to bourbon vanilla and pistachios.

The chefs have also created a range of chocolates that are available in a wide range of gift boxes. Passengers can choose from options such as Eaton mess and Black Forest Tiramisu or items from the Americas, including from Venezuela, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and Brazil. Vegan options are also available.

L’Orchidée Managing Director Elias Dayub said: “We are excited to open in London Heathrow as an independent to bring artisan products such as handmade macarons and chocolates to travellers. [We will] show them a bit more of what this great city has to offer as well as help them to find great little gifts for friends and family as well as small treats for all of those flying hours.”
