“Combining heritage and innovation” – Porsche Design reveals Hooks Series eyewear

Porsche Design has launched Hooks Series sunglasses, backed by a ‘Ready to follow your vision’ campaign featuring brand ambassador Patrick Dempsey.

As reported, German eyewear specialist Rodenstock named the American actor as the face of its Porsche Design brand earlier this year.

Early listings of the new Hooks Series include China Duty Free Group, Phoenicia Aer Rianta’s Beirut Duty Free and Bahrain Duty Free.

Rodenstock Sales Manager Rebecca Rauner said: “We are seeing very good sell-through of the range in all outlets where they are listed; the great look of these sunglasses and the Patrick Dempsey endorsement are really appealing to consumers.”

Porsche Design said the Hooks Series P’8920 “combines perfection and precision, as well as heritage and innovation”.

Inspired by another Porsche Design frame – P’8478 – the new style “reintroduces the iconic Hooks as an unmistakable element that is ingrained in the brand’s history, a small detail but with tremendous trendsetting influence”, Porsche Design said.

The P‘8920 classic aviator combines a gold hue frame with green tinted lenses while P‘8919 offers a squared aviator shape.
