Cochin Airport releases tenders for 12 retail opportunities to fuel expansion

INDIA. Cochin International Airport Limited has announced a series of retail tenders across Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 of the busiest airport in the region of Kerala.

Of the 12 retail opportunities available, seven are in the recently refurbished domestic Terminal 1 and five are in Terminal 3; all of the contracts will run for four years. The contracts cover several different categories. The airport operator said: “The stupendous growth in domestic and international passengers over the last few years has made Cochin International Airport a much sought after destination for airport retail operations. Tenders are invited from individual agencies for [the] award of [the] licence to operate retail outlets in the new domestic terminal and international terminal.”

Bids are due on 26 August and the licence will be awarded to the bidder which offers the highest monthly minimum guaranteed fee, the airport operator said.
