Coccinelle’s ‘multicultural’ Spring/Summer 2018 collection launches in travel retail

Coccinelle has launched its Spring/Summer 2018 Face of Nations collection in global travel retail.

The line is inspired by multiculturalism and represents a story of journeys and experiences.

Face of Nations is described as “a melting pot containing just one ingredient: the world”

This season, Coccinelle moves away from leather and dabbles in new materials such as rattan. Pastel suedes and two-tone lace details provide an air of romanticism.

Afro Beat in the City mixes influences of African folk culture with the avant-garde of the 20th century west. Coccinelle’s Ambrine and Arlettis bags feature ‘unexpected’ materials and colours such as ethnic patterns, bold fastenings and embroidery.

Coccinelle said each bag in the collection is a decorative self-statement of style and identity

Frais et spontané feature more subtle, delicate traits and draw inspiration from distant lands. Colours, nuances and prints offer a “gentle, unexpected femininity and lightness, both authentic and contemporary”.

The SS18 collection also offers bags in a playful fruit print and scarves, jewellery and hats.
