Giorgio Armani Beauty is celebrating Chinese New Year for the first time in the Americas with promotions at Los Angeles International Airport, San Francisco International Airport and T Galleria by DFS, Hawaii.
The promotions, which began on 27 January and will run to 17 February, are being held at the top three Chinese passenger destinations in the Americas.
The events will also serve as a showcase for Lip Magnet, Giorgio Armani Beauty’s new liquid lip colour.
Described as a “genuine technological achievement”, the formula combines water, fine oils and pigments in an inverted emulsion. This allows the colour to bind to the lips with a long-lasting and transfer-resistant ‘magnet’ effect. After the product is applied, the colour develops through a gradual evaporation to become twice as intense, according to the brand. The finish is said to be four times thinner than a regular liquid lip colour, leaving the wearer with the sensation of bare lips.
In a nod to the tradition of exchanging red ang pow envelopes at Chinese New Year, travellers will be offered the chance to win exclusive gifts such as a mini Lip Magnet or skincare samples by choosing from Giorgio Armani envelopes.
Customers will also have the chance to enjoy a premium wrapping service when purchasing gifts.
