Clogau set to open its first stand-alone airport store at Manchester Airport

Welsh jewellery brand Clogau will open its first stand-alone airport store at Manchester Airport on 28 April.

The Terminal 2 store will showcase a selection of the company’s 9ct gold and sterling silver jewellery collections.

Clogau noted steady growth in UK domestic and travel retail markets in 2016/17. The brand has secured new inflight listings on Thomson Airways, Thomas Cook Airlines and Monarch Airlines. It also has new listings with Thomson Cruises and recently opened its first cruise ship boutique onboard the P&O Britannia.

Clogau says its new Manchester Airport store enhances its presence in travel retail

Clogau International Customer Service Manager Aran Turner said: “Building on the momentum from a strong finish to Q1 in 2017, we are delighted to start Q2 with the brand’s first stand-alone airport boutique.

“Despite industry challenges, we’ve made fantastic progress over the past year and we see this airport boutique as the next step in enhancing our travel retail presence. We’ll be offering passengers tax free savings across our range, so it’s a fantastic opportunity for new and existing customers to purchase our jewellery with a genuine saving over the high street retail price.”

Manchester Airport Commercial Director Stephen Turner commented: “We welcome Clogau to Terminal 2 during what is an exciting time for Manchester Airport. Clogau’s brand new airport boutique will complement the existing retail portfolio across the terminal and we are looking forward to working closely with the brand over the coming years”.
